September  4th to 16th .                     Joanna Davies

Life Size . Its all about bringing energy and emotion to the forefront with my paintings. This body of work initially resolved around the words “Life Size”.  I wanted to bring life size figures and scenes into people’s homes.  As I continued through the body of work I realised I was equating life size to “larger than life”. I found myself focusing on smaller details, things and scenes, magnifying them, and in so doing bringing an energy and life to seemingly  banal and everyday.

Exhibition Hours  10am to 6pm daily

Official Opening Night  Friday 7th September 6pm till 9pm

September 17th to 23rd                      Nicole de la Mar

Eden and Emotion.  My green flora space envelopes me with arms of strength and calm.  I love discovering nature and I love creating my version of it to bring indoors.  I never set out with an idea in mind, but purely let the mood overwhelm me and often only when I’m done do I realise what I’ve created and what’s been on my mind.

A collection of large acrylic and mixed media works.

Exhibition Hours   10am to 6pm daily

Official Opening Night   Friday 21st 6pm to 9pm

October  16th to 28th .                        Pamela Gough    “Around The Place”…places that captured my heart                                                                                                                   and soul”

Pamela’s contemporary landscapes are narratives inspired by the patterns in the environment, her Celtic origins and a passion for character buildings.  Pam’s paintings scratch at the surface of life to reveal the stories behind the homes and the spirit of a place, particularly those in her own backyard of Queensland.  Often embedded with the illustrative detail of antique maps and Celtic symbolism, they make connections to the past and look for direction on the everyday map of life.

“Beneath what we see, are the dreams and plans of those who have gone before us;  those who lived and loved and built up the environment that we are gifted with today.”

Exhibition Hours  9am -5pm

Opening Night Event  Tuesday 6th November 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Recurrence  Returning to Australia after two years in London Benjamin brings together an exhibition of pieces featuring organic repetition and a true appreciation of Queensland.  His colourful abstract artworks portray his impressions of landscapes and seascapes where repetition is the focus.  Benjamin wishes to take his viewers on a journey that begins with staring at the mighty ocean from the sky to diving below the waves only before emerging in his memories of hot sun scorched vistas and the ephemeral tumbling florals that appear momentarily in the Australian bush.

Nov 27th to December 9th               Rick Everingham   “Italia”

New paintings from my latest trip to Italy

Exhibition  Hours  Open Daily 10am to 5pm   Opening Night Friday 30th  6pm to 8pm

Mid year saw Desley and I back in our favourite Italy. It is always inspiring to return, and this year we arrived on the day of the annual Soina town dinner, so it was great to catch up with old friends and neighbours.  I managed to find some interesting new subjects, and also  re-visited places I had thought to paint in the past  but didn’t.  Italy was in it’s full vibrant summer colours, and those colours have worked their way into current paintings.
